Having been actively involved in the Harmonica Orchestra and Chinese Orchestra since junior high school and varsity years, Li Qun has cultivated an ardour for the arts. Since taking charge of CDS, she has also cultivated a deep passion for drama. Besides watching performances regularly, she has also led CDS to achieve several accolades. Since 1999, she has organised six public performances and painstakingly motivated students to cultivate an appreciation of Chinese drama.
Li Qun is passionate about life, and is a volunteer at the Chinese Development Assistance Council (CDAC). In 2000, she travelled to Tibet as a volunteer for the “Project of Hope”, a school-building project, and had learnt a lot from that trip. As a language teacher, Li Qun believes that cultivating interest is the key to teaching a language successfully. Her teaching passion stems from her belief that “to teach is to touch the future”.
