
After completing her undergraduate degree in Southeast Asian Studies at Mahidol University, Thailand, Vipavinee Artpradid pursued her interests in Anthropology and Southeast Asian Cinema with a masters degree in Anthropology of Media at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. She is currently working on a masters degree in research via distance learning in educational and social research with the Institute of Education, University of London, focusing on documenting critical learning incidents.
Vipavinee has lectured in media and cultural studies at Mahidol University International College, Thailand, and prior to joining SOTA, was a certified facilitator under Republic Polytechnic's Problem-Based Learning system where she worked as academic staff with the Centre for Culture and Communication. She is a strong proponent and practitioner of media literacy and learning through self-awareness, reflection and a sense of playfulness.
Vipavinee continues to support the Southeast Asian film and literary arts industry by offering her services as a Thai-English translator. She has played the khim (a Thai-Chinese string musical instrument) since she was 12. A newfound love for flamenco music has fueled her passion in learning the flamenco dance and guitar.
