Tan Cheen Ming graduated from the Nanyang Technological University with a degree in Science, majoring in Physical Education and Mathematics.

Cheen Ming embarked on his teaching career in 1997 as a Physical Education Teacher at Raffles Junior College (current Raffles Institution). He was also a specialist in 2007 at Raffles Institute for Experiential Learning. He has had extensive experience leading students on various learning expeditions to countries such as China, Vietnam, Nepal and Thailand. A passionate volunteer, Cheen Ming participated in nature appreciation, adventure and community service projects with Raleigh International in 1997 and was the vice-chairman of the organising committee for Raleigh’s selection weekends.

Cheen Ming loves to share his love for sports with students. He wishes to partner the students of SOTA in their pursuit of arts with a healthy lifestyle. Cheen Ming believes that Experiential Education is an important component of holistic education.
