
The School of the Arts (SOTA) is set up by the Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts. SOTA is Singapore’s first national pre-tertiary specialised arts school. For youths aged 13 - 18 who have an interest and talent in the visual and performing arts, SOTA offers a dedicated development path, providing them with a new teaching and learning environment where both their artistic and academic potential can best be realised.

Senior Buyer, Procurement
Job requirements:
- You will be responsible for purchases based on user requirements, including supplier selection and negotiations.
- You will decide on purchasing requirements and plan procurement strategies to achieve targeted savings, liaise with finance on all new vendor creation. You will also perform vendor management and review open purchase orders on a regular basis.
- You will be involved in the preparation and implementation of procurement process, procedures and system.
- You will also generate purchase orders, ensure timely delivery from suppliers, coodinate and process return-to-suppliers.
- You will prepare purchasing contracts, liaising with legal to establish the terms and conditions.
- You will manage supplier relationship to develop strong partnership, while monitoring and evaluating supplier quality and service performance from time to time.
- You will also be responsible for coordinating the tender and ITQ process.
Applicants should:
- A Degree holder with minimum 5 years of relevant experience, with minimum 2 years experience in a supervisory role.
- Candidate with experience in Contract Negotiations and Tender process desired.
- Experience in the computerised 3 way matching purchase order system.
- Ability to source, procure, negotiate and evaluate proposals.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Other attributes include positive learning attitude, initiative team player, result-orientated, excellent multi-tasking skills and ability to work in fast paced environment.
- Possess good time management, follow-up and project management skills.
- Procedural management and maintenance
- Able to communicate fluently in written and spoken English
