The School of the Arts (SOTA) is set up by the Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts. SOTA is Singapore’s first national pre-tertiary specialised arts school. For youths aged 13 - 18 who have an interest and talent in the visual and performing arts, SOTA offers a dedicated development path, providing them with a new teaching and learning environment where both their artistic and academic potential can best be realised.

Manager, Finance

Job requirements:

  • Direct the full spectrum of accounting functions and supervise the daily operations of the Finance team.
  • Ensure timely and accurate statutory and monthly management reporting including GST reporting.
  • Manage the financial forecasting, management reporting, budgeting and statutory reporting; perform variance analysis.
  • Oversee cash management and projections.
  • Review, implement and administer internal control policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the established policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with senior management team and board of Directors of the School on matters, such as planning and coordination of Finance Committee, Audit Committee and board meeting and recording of minutes.
  • Ensure all donations and restricted funds reporting and transactions are compliance tocharity regulations.

Applicants should have:

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting or equivalent; preferably a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • Min 5 years of relevant accounting experience with managerial or supervisory experience.
  • Strong management skills to lead the team.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Meticulous and self-motivated individual.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
