SOTA Visual Arts students attend Tjanpi Desert Basket Weaving Workshop

SOTA Visual Arts students were privileged to have the opportunity to learn the art of Tjanpi Desert basket weaving from Australian Aborigional weavers, as part of a series of talks, exhibitions and workshops organised by The Australian High Commission. The students were given a background of this art form and exercised their creativity to the fullest. At the end of the workshop, baskets were not the only product. A coaster and pendant were some of their other unique creations.
